First up, the fiesta fruit platter at Breakfast of Day 2. It was too pretty to eat, but I think the sprinkles freaked me out a little also.

No, they are not closeups of people (thank goodness!!!). Here are some of the macro shots of the various flora and fauna I took on the Inca trail. I used my hand held Canon Power Shot SD600 series camera and macro mode to capture these pictures. Enjoy!

Lost city -- Machu Picchu thru the clouds

What a tease! "Pachha-mama" (meaning "mother nature" in Quecha/Spanish??) came out just in time to provide us with the glimpse of the lost city. I vowed to her that I will be back again to get a better look!

DRESS FOR HIKING SUCCESS

After a long 2 days of hiking we took our first rest of Day 3 at some really nifty archeological ruins. Oscar was going over the history of the trail and while he was talking I decided to take a few candid shots. Now this is what I call a classic Ballesteros "Jump" shot. Is he NOT the MASTER JUMPER! And who says that people are winded by the time they get to Dead woman's pass. The above picture begs to differ.
